The etruscan package provides fonts for the Etruscan script which was
in use between approximately 1000 BC to 100 AD. The font comes in mirrored
forms suitable for writing either left-to-right or right-to-left (as the
Etruscans did). This is one of a series of ancient fonts.

The distribution consists of the following files:
README (this file)
etruscan.ins
etruscan.dtx
tryfont.tex

The distribution is provided under the terms of the LaTeX
Project Public License (LPPL).

    To install the package:
o run: latex etruscan.ins, which will generate:
       etr*.mf files
       *.fd files
       etruscan.sty
o run: latex etruscan.dtx
o run: makeindex -s gind.ist etruscan
o run: latex etruscan.dtx
o Print etruscan.dvi for a hardcopy of the package manual
o Move the generated files to locations where LaTeX will find them.
For example: the etr*.mf files to .../texmf/fonts/source/public/etruscan
the *.fd and .sty files to /texmf/tex/latex/local/etruscan
On a teTeX distribution you might also have to add the following
    line to texmf/fontname/special.map:
      etr10.mf public etruscan
On a teTeX distribution remember to run texhash after moving the files.

o run: latex tryfont for a testpage of the Etruscan font
